World Computer Science Week is the perfect moment to show that technology is not just about screens, but about creativity, curiosity, and real life skills. During this year’s celebration, an exciting AI lesson was held in Slovakia for students of a vocational school, turning complex ideas into something practical and fun.
Students were introduced to artificial intelligence through real examples they recognize from everyday life, such as recommendation systems, smart assistants, and image recognition. Instead of only listening, they experimented, tested ideas, and discussed how AI can help, but also mislead, people online.
The practical session focused on critical thinking. Teenagers learned how algorithms work, why data matters, and how AI can sometimes spread misinformation if people are not careful. By working in teams, they solved small challenges and explored how technology influences opinions, trends, and decisions.
What made the lesson special was its hands on approach. Students were encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes, and think about their future careers in a digital world. World Computer Science Week proved that learning AI is not about the future only, it is about understanding the present. It inspired curiosity, responsibility, confidence, collaboration, creativity, awareness, ethics, balance, and online choices.
