During Erasmus+ Days, students didn’t just celebrate international cooperation – they took action to protect truth online. Across activities full of energy and creativity, students raised awareness about fighting fake news and learning how to spot misinformation, disinformation, and online hoaxes.
The celebration included interactive workshops, group discussions, quizzes, and role-playing games. Students analyzed real social media posts and news headlines, learning how false information is created and why it spreads so fast. They discovered the difference between misinformation (shared by mistake), disinformation (shared on purpose), and hoaxes designed to shock or manipulate emotions.
What made Erasmus+ Days special was teamwork. Students worked together, shared opinions, and learned from each other in an open and supportive atmosphere. They talked about how fake news can cause fear, division, and misunderstanding, especially among young people.
The activities showed that media literacy is just as important as digital skills. By celebrating Erasmus+ Days this way, students proved they are not passive users of the internet. They are active, responsible digital citizens who know how to question, verify, and think critically – and who are ready to stand up for truth in the online world.
